(In response to “Why does your character want to kill the Lich King?”)
Vala stares off into the distance, silent while she gives this question some thought. “I wouldn’t say that I actually want to kill the Lich King,” she says finally. “Stop him somehow, yes. And if that means his death, then so be it.” She shrugs, then adds softly, “He has made himself into a threat that needs to be eliminated somehow.”
“But it seems a little short-sighted of some of the powers-that-be who are so ardently urging this course to think his death will mean that everything is then alright again. He is, after all, only one threat among many. There are a number of other targets out there.” Her eyes betray the smile hidden behind her mask. “Of course, he is one of the more challenging targets.”
